  • New Mexico Dressage & Combined Training Association
Most riders view dressage as an exotic and difficult discipline of riding. Dressage is actually basic training for the horse and rider, and is really not too difficult for any serious horseman. All riders and horses, no matter what style of riding they do, can benefit from dressage. Dressage teaches the rider balance and control, and refines the rider's position on the horse. It conditions the horse and helps him to become balanced and go on the bit, which of course is important no matter what style of riding one does. We invite you to look over this website and try some of the links. Consider trying dressage, too. You might actually like it!
